Last Night's Report...

YUM! and YUM and YUMSTER, YUM! HA! well, the excitement I had about last night's events has been concluded as a success! HA... I enjoyed a completely over indulgent hour or so at the Tokai Sushi house with some great women who appreciated the joy good food can bring to one's soul! I LOVE TEMPURA ROLLS!!! AHHHH! Two thumbs up for sure!


The arrival of the parents was as eventful as usual the dogs overwhelmed me with more warmth and unconditional love than one can accept, my mom was hungry and hounding my dad and I for the dinner stop that of course had to come after the dogs got their evening walk! HA! I walked Trigger last night.. He is the younger of the two and so full of spirit and energy that the words "take the dog for a walk" is completely non-existent!! He is so strong and only weighs about 20 pounds less then myself, but my brother Cam and I seem to be the ones he will slow down more for when walking.. My poor parents!!! AH!

SO INNOCENT!!!! AHHH! WHEN SLEEPING!!! ;)

I love today!!! HA! I have great plans! First of all, SUSHI NIGHT!!! WAHOO!! My sweet friend Maggie is traveling down to the land of the RED for the St. George marathon tomorrow!! GOOD LUCK MAGS!!! She has a tradition before she runs a marathon to go out for sushi the night before and I have been lucky enough to participate tonight!
The other wonderful thing about today, is that my parents are coming up to stay the weekend with me tonight! I love when they come and visit. It is so nice to have people at my house, it completes me. You better believe I am taking them to "The Chocolate" for sure! AHHHHH! Yes, that is probably what I am most excited about.

My AJ is getting married! WAHOO!!! click my heels and do a cartwheel! HA! We have been two peas in the unmarried pod for a long time her and I!! HA! Now she is leaving me!!! AHHHH! HA! Off to long awaited and much deserved blessings!!! I am so excited for her! I love her sooo much! She is a bright light of laughter and support in my life and I am so happy to see her finally having her lil' hearts desire! HA! 

Her bridal shower was this last weekend! WOW! what a great night! 

 Tricia's sweet friend Lisa reserved the cutest place for the shower! it is called "The Chocolate" oh my word..... ummmm yah... I can't begin to express the joy of the goodies!!! AHHHH! Moving Maddness!!!

YEP! The ol' couch is now an active member of my new place! I LOVE my new place! it is on its way to make retro, vintage completely eclectic design history! 

My amazing parents came up this last weekend and broke their blessed backs helping me move into my sweet little abode. There was cleaning, wallpaper removing, painting and more painting, cabinet removing, tons of this and that shopping, putty fixing, scrubbing, caulking, dog walking (of course), fixture replacing, utility installing, my dad getting injured (again... of course.. ha! love you daddy!) , sweating, crying, yelling, eating and laughing! HA! nothing but a good time! But it all came together and I am going to have an amazingly comfy place to call home. I am so bugged that I didn't do some before pictures but I will be posting the after ones soon! Stay tuned!

Treasure Hunt!!!

Whats that saying? .......ummm.... "One man's trash, is another man's treasure." ??? :) 

When I was young... ha.. let me rephrase that... When I was younger... ha.. younger than I am now that is.. ha! My parents were always feasting their eyes on the Thursday night newspaper, searching and circling the Classifieds for the upcoming Garage Sales, Yard Sales, Estate Sales, Antique Sales, this sale and that sales!!! HA! You name it! Waking at the crack of dawn on Friday and Saturday morning, they would vacate the house quickly and quietly to be the first in line to make the best bargain on a newly found item to store in the garage or any spare corner that could be found in our little house!! HA! I remember I used to lecture them constantly ( i might have been young, but age or height has never put a constraint on my tongue.. ha...;), must be a redhead thing..;)) So anyways.. blah blah blah... and getting to the point Teniesha! or dare I say DANETTE!!! HA! (Danette is my mom..ha.. :) she has a tendency to explain longer than necessary..) Guess what I was doing today!!?? AHHA!!! yep! you guessed it! I was looking up the same things on KSL! ha! planning on taking a trip in the morning for treasures upon treasures! HA! If I can get up that is.. ha.. I rather enjoy my Saturday morning sleep ins until like 8:30;)... We will see how it goes.. I have been obsessed with KSL itself lately.. I found the most amazingly retro turquoise couch that I will be putting in the living room of my new adorable place! It has just taken off for no good from there! Thanks alot Mom and Dad! HA! love you!

Sharp rocks, deep crevasses, smooth lakes and raging waters! This is what life brings to us day in and day out! I find it amazing how life can change so much in one day! AHHA! I cant keep up! Here I go!!! "SLIDING" into another phase! HA! Bring it on! HA! What an amazing week it has been, full of stress, sweat, tears, heartache and answered prayers, God continues to teach me to have Faith in His care. 

I am preparing for another move from where I am currently living. This has been a hard thing to for me to come to terms with because I have been and am still currently completely in love with my apartment!... hmmmm... so charming, so quaint, so shabby chic! I will be sure to take some pics and post them before I start to haul stuff out of there! Although, I have been sad at my departure of this Heavenly little place, the good Lord has guided me to another wonder opportunity! I am moving to a house about five minutes away from where I am currently! It is absolutely adorable and I have double the space with a WASHER AND DRYER!!! (it is amazing the things you grow up taking for granted and don't realize are a complete luxury! HA!) It was built in 1943 and is full of amazing potential! I am so excited to have a new vintage project! oh! and guess what! I have my own separate space in the back to use as my art studio!! I am currently starting to do my collage art work out on commissioned orders, it is so exciting to have the opportunity to expand and use this talent!

Waking up to Friday!!!! AH!!!! HA!

I don't know what I dreamed about last night, but it must have been great because I woke up with that wonderful FRIDAY FEELING!!! WAHOO!! HA! I will purposely fail to mention the emotional spiral that concluded for a brief moment when the reality of WACKY WEDNESDAY had surfaced from my deep slumber grogginess... HA! Nevertheless the Friday Feeling has continued to waltz in and out of my heart today and I stand grateful for that! HA! It has stirred a great aura around me today! It has been a happy morning with plenty of blessings!

• Wearing my Zebra print shoes brings out my sassiness... (is that a word? hee.. hee.. hmmm..)
• Mulitple morning greeting texts from some of my favorite peeps in the whole wide wonderous world! 
• Prepping for a photo shoot at the infamous "VINTAGE CUPCAKE CO."   WAHOO!! SO EXCITED! 
•  My work bestie (Miss Simone) made the most terrifying face at me this morning that made me laugh so hard!! HA! ( I know.. easily amused)... 
• Pandora is playing great hits! 
• One of my BFFs is planning a wedding! WAHOO! GO AUNT JUDY!
• I love my friends! 
• Grateful for prayer!

NEW OBSESSION!!!!

Okay, so I know its the little things in life that can bring the greatest joy... blah blah.. ha! but yesterday  was a absolute perfect example of this sometimes seemingly cliche statement. To give you the history behind this now historic event in my life, I live in one of the most charming, quaint little Victorian apartments in Sugarhouse. I have had the best time decorating this place with my love of eclectic design. I love Vintage, I love Contemporary and Modern pieces as well. Most of all I love to mix them! You would be surprised at the overall presentation for sure! HA! I have recently been in search of the perfect piece of furniture to place underneath my small little flat screen that my home teachers have so kindly installed on the perfect piece of wall in my living room. The search began with a click on the wondrous KSL! haha... the first day of searching brought in a stack of 5 or 6 great possibilities... included in these possibilities was a very old small vintage dresser with the white paint chipped all to bits and the bottoms of the drawers missing!!! IT WAS ADORABLE!! haha... I had all of the possibilities stored in my email inbox for over a week before I thought about revisiting them, when I did, the only piece that was still available was ........... YEP! you guessed it! The "ADORABLE" white Vintage piece with no drawer bottoms! haha... Well.. I coordinated with the owner to meet her brother at her local cupcake business in Odgen... little did I know that this visit was going to change my attitude and excitement in life right now!!!!! The cupcake shop was my own "grown up" Disneyland and I have been and am continuing to be completely inspired by the magic that has been planted in my soul to pursue my own dreams! So stay tuned!

2. How much my boss wants to eat a Bacon Sundae at Denny's (planned his whole week around it! literally!)
3. How people will trip if front of you and then try to act like it never happened.
4. Thinking about the "Beast's" facial expressions in the new X-MEN movie!! AHHHHAHAHAHA! (Super coo movie by the way).
5. How much I love to see the match ups that my friend gets on eHarmony! So entertaining!

Sometimes when things are rough... all you need is a good listen to something particular... it is amazing how music connects with one's soul and moves and stirs your emotions. Today it is all about Tori! Her creative ability is increasing my own self empowerment with every hit of the piano keys and ambiguously descriptive lyric, I feel so many moving emotions! It is invigorating!

Life is a curvy road, for sure... the straight path that is full of surrounding green meadows, redrocks, ocean breezes and swaying coconut trees has it moments, but right around the bend is a sharp turn down the rocks, through the snow, pounding hail stones and raging winds....Keeping equipped with the right tools for survival is what I realize I better be learning how to use during the times of crisp sunshine.

True LOVE never dies! I will never lose the smile that come to my face when I think of my TV "Friends"! They have gotten me through some rough times... They have never failed to make me laugh regardless of how many millions of times I have seen each episode! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Don't you wish we didn't have weaknesses and flaws? HA! I love life! I love so many things about myself and who I am... HA... but man I have my thingsss.... ha! DreAMS Really do come true!!!

YES! YES! and another YES!!!! I met the fashion man of the century!!! Mr. Tim GUNN!!! He was at the Gateway mall on Saturday April 30, 2011. He was at Lucky Brand Jeans store for a fashion show on Lucky Brand's spring and summer line and to give us all some expert advice on life! HA! I love this guy! We hit it off immediately of course. I feel we are bosom buddies and I wont be surprised if I am asked to be a guest star on this next seasons Project Runway! HA! It was such a great day!
